Privacy policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
In short: Foco does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no servers of our own, and no analytics or advertising. What you write stays on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud account, which we cannot access.
Data controller
Animetra OÜ, a company incorporated in Estonia under registry code 17350328, with registered office at Juhkentali 8, 10132 Tallinn, Estonia, is responsible for this application.
For any privacy or data-related question, email foco@animetra.cloud.
What is stored and where
Everything you create in Foco—boards, tasks, notes, files and attached images—is stored in two places:
- On your device, in the app’s private storage.
- In your iCloud account, in CloudKit’s private database, if you are signed in to iCloud. This provides a backup and keeps your data available on your other Apple devices.
That information belongs to your iCloud account and remains under your and Apple’s control. Animetra OÜ cannot access, read or recover it. If you disable iCloud, Foco continues to work on your device only.
What we do not do
- We do not require registration, an account or a password.
- We do not operate servers that store your content.
- We do not use analytics, tracking or profiling tools.
- We do not show advertising or share data with advertisers.
- We do not sell or disclose information to third parties.
- We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
Permissions the app may request
- Notifications. Used only to alert you when a focus block or break ends. These are local notifications generated on your device and do not pass through a server. You can deny them and the app will still work.
- Photos. Foco only accesses the images you choose to attach to a task. It does not browse your photo library.
- Files. Foco only reads the specific file you select to attach.
Subscriptions
Foco offers an optional subscription, Foco Pro. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Animetra OÜ does not receive or store your payment details; Apple only confirms whether you have an active subscription, without associated personal information.
You can view or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
Children
Foco is not specifically directed at children under 13 and does not collect identifying data from anyone, regardless of age.
Your rights and your data
Because we do not collect or store your information, there is nothing for us to provide, correct or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control:
- To delete your data, remove your boards and tasks in the app or uninstall it.
- To delete the iCloud copy, open iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.
If you live in the European Union, the GDPR grants you rights including access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability. Since we do not process your personal data on our own servers, you exercise those rights directly through your device and iCloud account as described above.
Changes to this policy
If Foco later adds features that process data differently—for example, shared boards—this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
